CCrane Revelle / Redsun (its Chinese manufacturer) has a definite winner with the DC-SWP (Pocket) radio! I needed a small AM / FM / SW radio for travel and have compared several portable receivers including the Kaito KA11, Grundig G6 Aviator, Grundig YB-550PE, Sony ICF-SW35, Grundig Kaito KA1101 eTravel VII, Kaito KA1102 Eton E100, etc.., are not completely done with all my assessments, but I truly believe that the SWP CC (CCRANE pocket shortwave) radio or Redsun RP-300 (available directly from China) is a very, very small (and one of the smallest available!) and also inexpensive and still very excellent receiver! I am very impressed right out of the box the way it performs even for very weak signals and with very good sensitivity and selectivity. Advantages: 1) A single conversion, PLL (Phase Locked Loop) pocket, all-digital radio, which comes with a Velcro pouch, strap, headphones and a clear manual heavily edited by CCRANE (available online on their website) 2) acceptance by the low signal on all bands (am/fm/sw1/sw2). It performs really well! 3) It has a switch for sound and very useful (Music / news) with stereo headphones and two positions via Local / DX switch (RF attenuator for frequencies GAIN SW). This "tone" switch works well on both FM and SW frequenices and provides a very effective frequency filter to detect weak signals at SW. Lock switch 4) and the control of the backlight (with 8 seconds duration orange backlight illuminates the screen, only the left side, though). 5) A dedicated button display with a different set of information that is of the successive main drive with the radio turned off, or made available. 6) Numerous tuning methods available, is also a fine tuning knob for AM and SW, and with an ATS (Automatic tuning tuning retrieval system), but unfortunately not for the automatic storage of available frequencies, direct keypad frequency entry, etc. Coarse Tuning also available from the up / down scan buttons themselves. VHF frequencies, only the coarse tuning steps are available (0.10 MHz) is used regardless of the tuning method. 7) Very high quality and very readable display with many, many icons to indicate battery life (low battery) and a reception TUNE icon (like on the two Sony digital radios still) and it works very well, wide / narrow ( Music / News) tone filter tuning (AM / SW), etc. The time and station frequency do not appear simultaneously, but can be found on two separate monitors. 8) Very long battery life (up to ~ 70 hours) with only 2 AA batteries 9) Easy channel memory and auto preset system with rotary knob for the withdrawal of 200 (00-199) preset memory 10) It has a easy to reset hole using control pins on the bottom of the radio. 11) It has an internal team approach to store the key features that 9 / 10 kHz steps for international travel, 12/24 hour world clock time, wake-up alarms and a radio frequency or stored separately in an internal buzzer, sleep mode (0-90 minutes in 5 minutes), etc. These items are marked on the appliance in question DISPLAY previously described. Disadvantages: These are all extremely small, however, and no great meaning for me at all! 1) relatively small speakers, but the sound is very good for its size. 2) Volume controls are a little awkward and uneven in the level changes. 16 digital levels are also displayed on the screen. In addition, shift work other radio bands from SW to FM, for example, can be a very immediate burst ear, but not so on the radio that the SWP CC has a delay built into the transitions between the individual bands gives the user a response
